Westerners like “logic and observable events,’ but when discussing other Planets and their effects or the deeper psychological understanding possible through Astrology as a Science of divination and prediction, that is where most people lose faith.

Suffering in love feels like a loss of Self because we are this love to our very core. We feel it, but we cannot express it through our limited bodies and perceptions.

When we remember our true nature, joined to the Cosmic Sun, we illumine everything around us. When we forget our true nature, and seek to be illumined from without, we suffer in darkness. 

As a rajasic planet Mercury also has the tendency to seek over stimulation through the senses and be unfocused.

When his energy is directed toward higher purposes, he has the energy to liberate of our soul, when directed toward lower purposes he can becomes the very energy we are struggling against. 

Venus can also make us vain and shallow, allowing us to become seduced by worldly appearances, or by our own and its influence on others. 

  We must direct Saturn’s energy inward toward the divine so as to perfect ourselves, rather that externally, rigidly seeking control over others, outer circumstances, or our own feelings. Saturn rules Saturday and is a neuter planet.
