For example, Venus in her full expression brings selfless love - divine love - compassion. We try to express this through the love we make with our partners.

The Moon represents the Mother. The higher Moon reflects the spirit of joy and sharing that comes with having peace of mind; the lower Moon reflects the withdrawal and fear we experience when faced with losing that peace. The Sun and Moon represent the archetypical male / female. 

Mercury represents our ability to communicate and our informational mind. As the fastest moving planet and the one closest to the Sun, it is Mercury who organizes and articulates our material, mental and spiritual concerns. 

Wherever he is and whatever planets he aspects will give little fulfillment, because Ketu is motivated by absolute perfection. He is trying to perfect things so that he may be free of them and ultimately free of the world. Whereas Rahu indicates those traits we must develop in this life time, Ketu indicates the ones we have just recently developed.

We suffer when we experience love through our limitation. In the case of love, we experience Venus in limitation. With Mars, for example, we suffer when we experience limited power -- with Mercury limited skills and knowledge -- with Jupiter, limited understanding, etc.

Skanda as the second son of Shiva and Parvati, rules Mars as the representative of divine will. He is the general of the Army of the devas, who with childlike innocence fights to free the soul from the shackles of ignorance.

Venus is a rajasic planet, she is very worldly and the most sensual of all. She can make us hedonistic and over indulgent in sensory pleasures. 

  The truth that this physical world is transient and temporary. This physical body will die. To most of us that means that “WE will die.”
