Like a nightmare wakes us from sleep, our life struggles are
wake up calls that force us to look for deeper meaning.
Similarly, without the ego and the limitations of the body / mind phenomena there would be no division of the
true self into the component qualities of the smaller self.
The Moon is our memories and dreams and that which is the most familiar to us, both good and bad. Many of us may
be unsure of our soul’s intention, but we are all sure of our past and what feel natural to us.
Stated simply, Mercury can be the most immature of all the Planets. But he is more of a naïve fool, not a thug.
When acted upon by Sattvic planets like Jupiter and Venus he becomes a major benefic, helping them manifest their
goals and reach their highest truth.

Our ultimate reason for incarnation is to learn that we are not
simply a mind / body phenomenon, we are God, infinite and without
boundaries.
Visualizing light through a prism, the world of Maya (illusion) is represented by the fragmentation of the one
ray of light into seven colors. It is through the prism of the mind / body / ego that light appears to be its
7 component colors.
The Moon generally does no harm, but it is the most easiest to harm and its wounds are the deepest as it is
where we are the most easily hurt. Essentially the Moon represents our mind (consciousness) and feeling potential.
Our capacity and desire for peace and receptivity.
A strong, or at least unafflicted Mercury is necessary for any and all forms of commerce and interchange. How
can we get what we need or want if we are not able to ask for it or be understood clearly when we do? This is the
domain of Mercury.
As Ganesha is the remover of obstacles and the ability to expand, through Ketu, he removes obstacles in
our spiritual path, enabling us to expand internally. Whereas Rahu is the Planet of worldly expansion, attached to
worldly desires. Ketu is a contraction of that same energy.

Who am
I: I am Sam Geppi. I am the
author of "The Ascendant-108 Planets of Vedic
Astrology", a consistent bestseller on
Amazon.com for Vedic astrology. I have
recently been selected to teach most of the
AstroVed University of Vedic Sciences
Certification Program - a 12 month program
initiated by enlightened Master Dattatreya
Siva Baba. I developed the "Universal
Astrology" System. It approaches astrology
from a holistic perspective. The Divine
universe itself is more important in
"Universal Astrology" than the man made
systems used to try to explain it.
I
have also contributed to various
Astrology and yoga publications, both
print and online.
